Music Ministry at St. Pius X incorporates dynamic Catholic music ranging from polyphony to praise and worship.
Our many talented and dedicated individuals passionately share their gifts for the “Glory of God and the sanctification of the faithful”. Each weekend liturgy at St. Pius X offers its own unique atmosphere, offering praise to our Lord through contemporary music presented simply, to a high school praise band, and two adult choirs singing a variety of authentically Catholic music.
St. Pius X is recruiting for a youth choir to sing at the 5 pm Christmas Eve Mass. Youth in 2nd grade thru 6th grade are encouraged to get involved. Learn more.
Our Fireproof (7th – 12th grade) group is a praise and worship band, which rehearses on Wednesday evening just before Faith Formation classes. Fireproof leads music for various weekend Masses and faith formation activities throughout the year.
Our 10:30 am Family Focused Mass and 7:30 pm Sunday Evening Mass features a talented group of solo musicians who are national leaders in praise and worship music.
The Jubilee Choir (adults) is a four-part choir that rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings at most 8:45 am Sunday Masses. Jubilee Choir sings September through May.
The Sounds of Praise Choir (adults) rehearses on Tuesday evenings beginning in October and sings at most 4:00 pm Saturday Masses through May.
In addition, St. Pius X parish has many talented instrumentalists and solo cantors.
We always have room for more! If you are a musician who would like to be involved with this ministry, please contact Jo Fleming, Music Ministry Director, at 651-762-3631 or jfleming@churchofstpiusx.org.
No auditions are necessary for joining any of our groups. (Instrumentalists and soloists should be of intermediate to advanced levels and require an audition in order to help you succeed as fully as possible).
