Prior to Receiving Confirmation

Confirmation Interviews

St. Pius X has the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall ONLY, usually in November (as assigned by the Cathedral).  Candidates who have completed the program requirements are eligible to have a Confirmation interview.

Confirmation Interviews take place in small groups of no more than 7, scheduled with Fr. Jay and the Coordinator on Saturday mornings. When the dates are established, those eligible will be notified by email so that candidates can sign up.

The Interview dates for the current year (2012-2013) have not yet been scheduled but will likely take place beginning in late August and running into early October.

Pre-Sacrament Info Meeting

In late October/ early November, a very brief informational meeting will be scheduled for those about to be Confirmed. This will take place immediately after Saturday evening Mass for no more than 30 minutes. Parents, Sponsors (if able) and Candidates should all attend. Informational packets from the Cathedral will be handed out, to include parking information, when to arrive, and a reserved seating chart for St. Pius X’s group. Sponsors and Candidates will receive information for the Rite of Confirmation and have the opportunity to practice responses given to the Bishop during the Sacrament.
